Environmental Partner Award Office Depot was awarded the Environmental Partner Award from Webster Industries for diverting millions of pounds of plastic from landfill through the sale of recycled content ReClaim™ and Earth Sense™ trashcan liners. Through its use and sale of these products, over the past three years, Office Depot has prevented nearly 2.4 million pounds of plastic from going to landfills or being incinerated. |

12 top Green IT Organizations for 2009 IDG's Computerworld, the "Voice of IT Management," selected Office Depot as one of the 12 top Green IT Organizations for 2009. This honor is part of the publication's annual feature highlighting companies with the world's leading environmentally sustainable IT organizations. Office Depot was highlighted for Company's commitment to environmental sustainability at Global Data Center and throughout retail stores and warehouses. |

Responsible Purchaser of the Year Office Depot's Director of Environmental Strategy, Yalmaz Siddiqui, was recognized by the Responsible Purchasing Network (RPN), an influential network of buyers focused on socially responsible and environmentally sustainable purchasing, as "Responsible Purchaser of the Year." A panel of judges comprised of green purchasing professionals selected four individuals and organizations from among more than 200 organizational members of the Responsible Purchasing Network. |

Outstanding Environmental Leadership Office Depot was recognized for "Outstanding Environmental Leadership" by Office Products International (OPI) at the eighth annual OPI Awards banquet held in Frankfurt, Germany. Prior to the award being given, the editor of OPI magazine stated, "[Office Depot] has invested time, money, blood, sweat and tears into an (environmental) programme that not only makes it best in class, arguably deserves wider recognition for being one of the world's finest programmes." |

European Office Products Award In 2007, Office Depot won the Office Products International (OPI) European Office Products' Environmental Responsibility Award for the third consecutive year. Judges commented, "Not for the first time, Office Depot wowed the judges with its comprehensive and passionate approach to the environment. Office Depot continues to be our industry's champion for all things green." |

Green Apple Awards In 2007, Office Depot received two awards at the Green Organisation's Green Apple Awards for the comprehensive reporting offered to our customers and for the development of our sustainable head office in Leicester. This is the second consecutive year Office Depot has won awards at this event. |

US Environmental Protection Agency SmartWay Environmental Excellence Award 2008 Office Depot is the only office products company to have won this award from the EPA for reducing fuel and greenhouse gases from transportation. |

British Office Services and Supplies (BOSS) Federation Environment Award In 2007, Office Depot received the prestigious BOSS Federation Environment Award. The judges described this as a well-structured entry demonstrating "how their business operates in an environmentally friendly manner together with any plans or initiatives that will improve the environmental performance of themselves and/or their customer." |
