Being Green

When we refer to "Being Green" at Office Depot, we mean three things.

• Reducing waste and recycling.
• Reducing energy and greenhouse gases from facilities - greening our buildings.
• Reducing fuel and greenhouse gases from transportation.

We recognize each of these operational goals requires investment. We also know these investments can deliver strong economic benefits as well as environmental.

In North America we have made very substantial progress reducing greenhouse gases related to our stores and transportation fleet. In Europe we have made most progress in reducing waste and recycling.
