Buying Green > Buy Greener Office Products for Internal Use
There are two major ways Office Depot buys greener office products for internal use:
- Purchasing office supplies from within The Green Book.
- Purchasing recycled cut-sheet paper used at our Global Headquarters.
We focus our internal engagement efforts on the individuals in our organization who buy office products and paper for internal use, and encourage them to buy more products from our Green Book catalog and implement our policy to use 30% post-consumer recycled paper for everyday black and white printing.
We are also pursuing LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance certification at our Global Headquarters. As part of this program we have developed a clear set of Green Purchasing Policies for office supplies, furniture, technology and cleaning supplies.
